I’m always on the lookout for things that make my daily routine more efficient so I can create space and margin. A girlfriend shared that the Dyson Airwrap was cutting her hair routine time in half and so I had to try it. I bought this Dyson Airwrap dupe as a way to test how often I would use it before dropping $800 on the real thing. Turns out, it works great and I’m not feeling the need to buy anything different 🙌🏻 BUT I have learned a few things that make the blowout style a lot easier so I thought I’d share my top three tips for blowout style with the Dyson Airwrap Dupe here.

Before I go on, let me start with the most important reminder ➡️ THIS TAKES PRACTICE. Remember the first time you put on mascara or curled your hair? Yeah, it’s like that.
TIP #1: DON’T TURN YOUR DYSON AIRWRAP DUPE OFF!
1. Keep it on 👍🏼 This was the game changer for me. Keeping the Dyson dupe on all the time helps it maintain suction and you will notice that it gets hotter too.
🔥 HOT TAKE: I recommend pinning all the hair that goes one direction and doing that side with that attachment before moving completely to the other side so you can keep your machine running.
TIP #2: KEEP TENSION WHILE CURLING
2. Keep tension like you would with a curling iron. Twist, pull, twist, pull until you get tension from your scalp. This will help curl your hair better.
TIP #3: USE < 1.5” SECTIONS OF HAIR
3. I found that if you use larger than 1.5” sections or too thick of sections the Dyson Airwrap dupe is not strong enough to effectively hold all the hair and curl.
